Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
4.0
I loved it! Another unputdownable story, in space, with a very human touch. Moving, humourous, believable, with an ending that left me a bit sad, but satisfied. I really can't tell you more, or I'd give it away.
It's a little ridiculous, and some of the feats of ingenuity are a bit over the top, but that doesn't take away from the utter joy of traveling with the characters through their insane, save-the-world story in any way!
I almost read this in one sitting, but my body insisted on sleeping somewhere in there. This book encapsulates everything I love about science fiction in the best ways.
PS: The main character's name is Ryland Grace. He's aboard a ship named the Hail Mary. Dudes. That's a Catholic pun. If you don't find that amazing, I can't help you.
