Ahhh what can I say? This book broke my heart and put it back together.
It was not an ordinary love story - it was so much more. It was a story about life, trauma, friendship, forgiveness, regret, growing up in the rural Alaskan wild, being strong and so much more. I had a great time getting to know each and everyone of the characters, with all their depths and flaws. I was hoping for Ernt to get better, for Matthew to feel better. I just wanted a happy end for everyone. That book really was a emotional rollercoaster and it made me feel all the feelings. I read this book in January and I still often find myself thinking about it.
Leni, baby girl, you are so brave and strong.
