It‘s a narrow 3 stars for me. I contemplated giving it a 2.5, but that felt too harsh. It‘s not a bad story, but a bit less atmospheric and a bit more visceral than James‘ other stories (that I have read so far). Not my cup of tea exactly, but a good base for a Call of Cthulhu pen and paper one-shot, I feel.
