4.5 -- You can definitely feel this book is written when she is a much more mature writer. Each story builds and gives excellent backstory. Action sequences rival those in the ACOTAR series. After reading HOF and starting QOS though, I would recommend reading this after HOF. It's important backstory for the beginning of QOS. Not so much in HOF.
