I received and ARC of this book but this review is my own.

I was so glad to be back in this series. This book picks up right where we left off in The Calling. What a turn of events since the first book! I feel sorry for Talia for what she is having to go through when it’s not something she wants but man is she a strong woman to go through all of that! I love how Raph’s feelings for Talia are still growing even though they are apart and his determination to rescue her, I miss the whole group being together. This book explains Raph’s backstory and why he is where he is today.

I cannot wait for the third book to see what plays out with King Madden and the secrets that Talia and her maids know about him, I hope it brings him down and he is over thrown. I hope we also learn more about the Prince. He seems like this dark mysterious type of guy that is being used as a puppet for The King, hoping to see who the real person is behind it all.
