A Merry Little Meet Cute by Sierra Simone, Julie Murphy
2.0
If you're looking for spice and don't need a plot that makes sense, this is the book for you.
People well tell ya that this is a dual perspectives but those fools have forgotten the all important third perspective, Uncle Teddy. We only getting his view on things at the first and last chapter of the book. Which I think is a real shame because he mentions something along the lines of "this is even stranger than the time I accidently joined a cult. I feel like that that is the story I need to know more about. Nuts to the romance, tell more about how this Adult Film producer joined a cult on accident.
Love Bee for wanting to spread her wings (ha) and try her hand (ha) at something different. Love the sex positively from this book. Love the discussion that the public is more forgiving of men than women with it comes to sexual exploits. However, how could anyone think that she'd be able to keep her main job under wraps.
Sure, her real name is not attached to anyone of her Adult Content but her body and face are. Sooooo....like I'm sure that there had to be press coverage of the movie. Her name and picture must have been out there somewhere. Also, the idea that conservative people don't look at porn is laughable. Come on. 9 times out of ten, they are the ones taking in the most kinky, sexual stuff.
Also, Nolan can go sit in syrup. If ya know, ya know.
What really annoyed me was on monologue-y it became towards the end. People making love declarations is sweet but like keep it short. I don't need both characters proclaiming their love for each other when they aren't in the same room.
Seriously, every few seconds I would mumble under my breath to be point where I partner was like "why are you even listening to it?" To which I said "out of stubbornness."
To each their own but this wasn't a 5 starer for me. The spicy was top shelf though so good for the author.
