I have read a few reverse harem bully books but this book is very dark, so please check your trigger warnings before reading. Now our main female character is Sydney and while trying to retrieve an item of her’s that someone has, she stumbled upon something that affected the outcome of the hockey game and causes all kind of ramifications for her and others. So Sydney is now forced to attend school with the people she thwarted. The one good thing about the change of schools was that she was able to work on the relationship between her and her estranged father. Sydney was bullied, threatened and harassed.  Sydney’s tormentors were Oliver, Penn and Carter, it was initially hard to like any of the main male characters based on their actions. Each guy was morally grey, possessive and kinky. This story is very spicy, and has some angsty, tense moments.
Some of the events were really hard to read and although it made me uncomfortable it also showed how strong Sydney’s character was that she was able to withstand all this abuse and come out the victor. I read a lot of dark romances and I thought the author handled the dark scenes incredibly well, this was my first book by this author and I know it won’t be my last.
