Outstanding children’s book that gently tackles the topics of dysfunctional families, bi-polar disorder, and food insecurity. None of these topics are ever named outright, so an adult reader will see the situations more clearly than a young reader. As an educator, I see the value of a book like this in reaching a youth who doesn’t feel “normal.”
