This book hit one of my biggest pet peeves multiple times and I didn't care to continue. I can't stand when there are conflicts set up and then suddenly not an issue anymore. Hate each other? It's fine now because you're horny. Have a fiance? It doesn't matter because you never really loved her anyway. Everything is solved in a snap so it feels hollow and pointless. Everything is told instead of shown so it feels hollow and pointless.
Also this book is not lighthearted. Every five minutes it feels like you're cornered by someone you barely know who wants to trauma dump about stuff you have no context for. It is honestly exhausting since we never dig deeper and instead just dump and dump.
