Gathering Moss: A Natural and Cultural History of Mosses by Robin Wall Kimmerer

5.0

If you think you might want to know a little more about mosses, however slight that interest may be, Gathering Moss is worth a read. Robin Wall Kimmerer combines scientific and cultural knowledge as well as her own encounters with these fascinating plants. I might become a bryologist myself because of this book, that’s how powerful it is. Granted that I do already study biology and simultaneously to reading this I took a course on mosses taught by another amazing female botanist.
In short: Mosses are criminally underrated. Read Gathering Moss and you'll understand how cool they actually are.
