Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

It kinda felt like it should be two books, just because there was a distinct split between the first half (the victory tour) and the second (the games). Having said that, this is such a great book. Katniss was not annoying at all this time. And I actually really love the political message of rebellion and hope running through the story, gaining strength as the series goes on. I recall the first time I read this book, I hated the build up and just enjoyed the games. This time, whether it's because I'm older, because I'm re-reading with an understanding of the direction, or just because I'm paying closer attention and engaging more, I found the first half just as necessary as the latter. If anything, once the Games started I found myself wanting to know more about the outside world, and the rebellion that was gaining strength.
