i really liked the relationship dynamic between the two main characters, so consequently I adored the first third of the book: 5/5 stars

then the plot kinda dragged on for an unnecessary bit towards the end 3/5

basically I would have been satisfied with less plot and more banter and interaction between characters with no stakes, which is why I read fanfiction I guess
