The Husbands by Holly Gramazio
4.0
This book is an absolute charmer! Its premise captivated me from the start, and it did not disappoint. Despite initial concerns about the potential repetitiveness of the attic husband gimmick, it continually reinvigorated the storyline with unexpected twists, prompting fresh perspectives.
Beneath its surface, the novel offers profound insights into contemporary issues surrounding consumerism, dating apps, and relationships. It prompts reflection on the paradox of choice in a world inundated with options. When we have the world at our fingertips and millions of options, what makes us settle? What makes us take pause? Or why can't we seem to do that? Why do we find fault in everything, even the good stuff? And then become so hyper focused on that, we lose sight of what is really important.
This book is ripe for deep discussion and analysis, making it an excellent candidate for book club selection. It earns my wholehearted endorsement with two enthusiastic thumbs up.
