I loved this! It follows Viv, a barbarian orc who is tired of life as a kill for hire and wants to move to the city to start her dream of owning a coffee shop. She meets a great cast of characters along the way, including a succubus assistant, a rat baker, and a gigantic magical cat.

I love reading fantasy with well thought out political and religious intrigue with big wars and high stakes, but sometimes it's nice to read a fantasy that is chill. This book is super cozy and a great comfort read. "A froth of romance" is a great description since it is very simple and sweet with a lot of fluffy development. The writing is really well done, too. I'm so pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this.
