this is the first mystery/courtroom drama book i've ever read and i loved it!! usually would say i'm not a fan of this genre but maybe i'll try more in the future. i like the incorporation of poetry in this book as a way to let you into kya's mind and represent how she's feeling. this book has a little bit of everything; mystery, romance, coming of age, fascinating characters, and a large part of it is also about nature and the wild and exploring how isolation affects human behaviour and how rejection can have a really deep impact on someone's life. i really enjoyed it :)
