Guantánamo Diary by Mohamedou Ould Slahi
4.0
This is a book every American should read. Whether you believe all of Slahi's story or not, he has an amazing story to tell. For English ending his fourth language and learning it by being in GTMO, his grasp is impressive. This is an easy to read book, which surprised me. He does talk about the torture; as a person who is sensitive to reading anything descriptive, it was not overwhelming to the point I couldn't continue or had to skip it. I wish everyone would read this book.
