More Than Words by Ashantay Keys

First of all, shoutout to Ashantay Keys for knowing how to wind up a plot because this book honestly didn't go anywhere that I thought it was going. But it was a good surprise and I enjoyed it very much.
Scotch and Gentry are siblings who only have each other. Scotch is older, protective but fair and he trusts his sister. He ends a relationship with a woman who's jealous of her and gets closer to her while he moves on. But Gentry is falling in love herself, and gets a new best friend who may just be everything her brother needs.
This was a unique plot and I like that. The audio sector of romance books is hugely popular and having Torrid journey down that path was creative and great. I loved seeing her come out of her shell. I loved her uncle and that he was basically her dad, and her parental background made my heart break for her. Gentry threw me for a loop because I didn't know if I'd like her or her boyfriend (Spaulding). She just seemed scatterbrained and Spaulding felt like he came on too strong for me but as the book went on, they fit into the rhythm better for me. At first they both threw me off. But Gentry being the connection made it better.
Scotch and Torrid were a slow burn that I was happy I waited for. I like them together. Torrid fit right in the place where Scotch needed her to, and vice versa.
