This is the first in the series and it takes a bit to settle. Lane isn't sure why he has feelings in his body when Bowen is around and the bi-awakening seemed a bit clumsy at first. It takes a while before any intimacy takes place and part of that is because Lane isn't divorced yet. Bowen was a sweet character and his caretaking and protective nature oozed from him. We share this story with a three year old, so be prepared for child antics. We met several characters who sound like they will get stories. Next up is Frey and his grumpy Dr boss, which sounds very exciting. A 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
