Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

Bitterly Beautiful and Impossible to Put Down
This was another case of not having any idea how this came to be in my library and knowing absolutely nothing going in, so I was completely unprepared for how exquisitely written and emotionally ensnaring this book is.
An incredibly real and raw reminiscence of growing up with intriguing and subtle science fiction elements that also feel unnervingly vivid. The understanding and restraint on display are breathtaking.
I genuinely can't articulate how much I adored this book and that I did it in one day in practically one sitting.
The performance is perfection.
