I re-read the first four novellas, which is as far as I got a couple of years ago, before diving into this longer work. I think that was the correct decision. Actually listened to the whole book in one day on a drive back from Canada, and did have to track back at a few points where the navigation bot (lol) interrupted and the flow was lost.
(I did have a whole conversation with my spouse about how we visualize during reading. I fluctuate depending on the writing, and this writing really makes me see the scene in my head, but my spouse almost never visualizes while reading, no matter what the writing is like.)
Loved the reunion with A.R.T. and seeing other characters from previous books. I think the mystery component was a bit strange in its reveal, maybe, but as always, I'm just along for the ride and Murderbot's inner monologue.
