At Night All Blood Is Black by David Diop
4.0
Extremely powerful take on war and authority, and identity, without trying to answer everything about them. I found myself contemplating the conflicts more than trying to judge them, not something a lot of books are able to achieve.
The writing style, while somewhat repetitive, truly felt like a raw, unfiltered look into the mind of someone trying to make sense out of the chaos and hate around him.
