Immortal Dark by Tigest Girma

5.0

Immortal Dark was such an incredible novel! I'm absolutely in awe of how this story was put together and how WELL it truly flowed.

So, lets get into it. When starting this book I hadn't known too much and let myself go in a little blind to the whole plot and I'm soooo happy that I did. We see a young adult really struggling with the challenges of her life. She wants to protect her last living relative and will do anything to do so, even if that means neglecting her own needs and care. She's truly a morally gray character, but she means well ( in her own way ) and can truly see that as the chapters go on. Kidan Adane, you may make choices that aren't the best, but you do only what you know you CAN do.

Susenyos Sagad, his character had me feeling a little suspicious of him from the beginning but throughout you learn that he has soft side and he's truly a lovely man ( imo ). I felt like from the jump you could tell he's had a troubled past and doesn't know how to quite navigate it. He just wants to live freely and I don't blame him at all.

Both of these characters has such traumatizing experiences and I feel that's one way they are truly able to connect and form a bond with each other. They are the true definition of enemies to lovers and I adore it so much. To some it might've been too slow of a build up, but I think it was the perfect pace. You had to feel the feelings of everything going on, see their hurt, their rage, all of the things that led them to the ending of this novel in order to truly appreciate it. ugh I love this book so much and I cannot wait for the second novel. pleaseeeeee grab yourself a copy! you will not regret it.

there's so much more I could say and I'll probably return later and edit this review lol
