I really didn’t not enjoy this book from the jump. It was slow and sad and daunting. Once they got to Rowan’s house, the whole book became even more daunting. I get what the author was trying to do with keeping Rowan angry and Violeta forceful but this was not it. It just made me hate both characters equally. I liked Clover best out of all the characters. I feel like this book was a waste of time and space on my shelf. The whole monster and ghost was minimalist at best.
