A Place Like Home: Short Stories by Rosamunde Pilcher

slow-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Character

3.0

I do love Rosamunde Pilcher so very much, especially her later novels: Coming Home, The Shell Seekers, Winter Solstice. This collection, gathered & published after her death, is rather unfair to the master storyteller status she achieved in her career. This is not a collection of short stories as much as it is a collection of er very early story *ideas*,  sketches, outlines, early drafts, character notes. Her devoted fans will be miffed, to say the least.
