karen mcmanus’s books are always so wild and off the rails bingeable - and I’m so happy to report this one felt the same way!!! she is the IT GIRL YA author for days!!!

I absolutely love a good heist story, and this one was no exception!! I was a little wary going into it focusing on high schoolers (because let’s be real, you need to be ocean’s eleven level skilled to pull off a jewelry heist), but kat and liam, our favorite step-siblings, were the perfect amounts of unhinged and lovable to tell this story!

as most con artist stories are, there were a few confusing plot holes & unbelievable moments, but I didn’t find them annoying enough to take away from the story itself. I just couldn’t wait to find out all of the plot twists karen is so well known for!! 😌😌

and the way it all fit together at the end was wildly satisfying, even if it seemed a bit rushed!

this wasn’t my ultimate favorite by this author, but I highly recommend every single one of her books! nothing has been below 4 stars for me!!!
