This book just didn't hold my attention at all. Maybe it's because it's a translation. The resolution was kind of exciting but the lead-up to it was tedious. There wasn't quite enough foreshadowing for me and I expected more scary or thrilling scenes given how creepy the killer's tactics were. Every section seemed to end with a cliffhanger, but the story jumped between characters so much that it took several pages for the cliffhanger to resolve, by which point I'd lost interest. I still gave 2 stars because I wanted to know what happened and read to the end.
