When I picked up this book, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I LOVED this. It was refreshing to follow an adult professor as the protagonist, and the bipolar disorder and LGBT rep was, I think, done well. This world is very different from ours, and I never felt bored by the descriptions or details. I knew just enough about the world to serve the story, and the writing itself reflected Adrien's voice well. If you like magical academia and cryptic conspiracies, pick this one up!
