These Fleeting Shadows by Kate Alice Marshall
Did not finish book. Stopped at 34%.
So I am definitely not in the mood for YA right now.
Or at least, that’s what my brain was telling me when I tried to pick this back up this morning.
I also think I wasn’t really settling into the book’s atmosphere well; it never felt truly creepy and the insistence of everyone telling Helen that there were no ghosts at Harrow was increasingly aggravating for me. And for a book that’s supposed to be a horror novel, the horror was really lacking for me.
And it’s a shame, because the cover really paints a gorgeous picture of this haunted house.

But I am not going to force myself to persist with this one, so moving on.
