Tammy gifts copies of this fictionalized book which sets up the plot. Sharita’s evolution from a pick-me is iconic. Thursday focuses on love while trying to ignore her glaring daddy issues. Risa’s loyalty is unwavering. The character growth and plot twists were unmatched. This is like a Black version of Sex and the City (without the deep wallets and fashions) but set in L.A. This friend group is solid and so is the fictionalized dating advice.
