Thank God for Instagram, or else I would have never discovered the talent of Tiffany Roberts!
"Yearning for Her" is my first book. I love Monster Romance and who doesn't love an Incubus? Throw in a plus sized heroine and you can just take my money!
Willow is a sweet, lilac-haired soul who has a boyfriend who doesn't appreciate her in the slightest. When what she hopes to be a romantic night out ending in a proposal, it ends in heartbreak. Shedding the dead weight that is her ex-boyfriend, Willow meets a tall, sexy, goth-ly dressed fellow named Kian. She feels a draw from him and finds her insides melting at his nearness. Unknown to her, Kian is an incubus (sex demon, but that's fae to you, Buddy!) Willow throws caution to the wind and takes Kian up on his offer of pleasure beyond her wildest dreams. Their hookup comes to mean more to Kian than simply food for his soul, but he finds that he can't stay away from Willow if he could.
I'm always on the fence when it comes to plus size heroines. Being a "thick" girl, I find that most books featuring this type of heroine often make her insecure, needy and desperate. Willow was intelligent, crafty, and sexy. She LOVED her body and body positivity was promoted throughout the book. I love that Kian chased Willow and not the other way around. She became more than a meal to satisfy her hunger but something more. Throughout the course of the story, we actually see Kian grow into understand his feelings of inadequacy despite being desirable and the loneliness that comes with meaningless relations with many. Together, these two made me cry and I love how Kian loved her. Although he attracted many, he only wanted "his Violet".
Author Tiffany Roberts makes her monsters so absolutely loveable and sweet that it's hard not to wish for an Incubus to approach you with an offer! If you love strong heroines, sexy monsters, and an engaging plot, you need to read this book! Tiffany Roberts has just gained a new fan.
