Godkiller by Hannah Kaner

5.0

Kissen’s family were killed by a fire god. Now, she makes a living killing gods, and enjoys it. That is until she finds a god she cannot kill: Skedi, a god of white lies, has somehow bound himself to a young noble Inara Craier and they are both on the run from unknown assassins. Joined by a retired-knight-now-baker Elogast on a secret quest, they all must travel to the ruined city of Blenraden, where the last of the wild gods reside, to each beg a favour.
This is Kaner’s fantasy debut novel and oooohhhh, believe me, it’s a great debut. Told from four different point of views, I find all the characters are interesting. Kissen is a godkiller, she doesn't like gods much and will kill them for a fee. Elogast is currently a baker, yet his previous occupation was as one of the King's most trusted Knight.
Inara is 12 years old daughter of the noble, Lady Craier. Skediceth is a god of white lies. Inara and Skedi's connection and the god's past are mystery, as it should not be possible for a god to survive without a shrine and the love and dedication of followers.
I’m lucky I'm able to borrow the ebook from libby, my friend lend me, because it doesn’t available (yet) at US library. And I love this debut so much, I suffer a book hangover.
