I started Two Twisted Crowns immediately after finishing One Dark Window, as it ends so intensely and I needed to know what would happen next. Here the story branches into multiple different storylines, whereas One Dark Window is more linear. I vastly preferred one of the storylines to the others, which made the reading experience a little uneven. The duology does reach a satisfying end and again, I enjoyed the romance. But I can’t believe there’s still no comprehensive look into all of the cards and their abilities!
