Sugar Falls: A Residential School Story by David A. Robertson

5.0

A middle-grade graphic novel that gives a short, detailed account of life for a young girl kidnapped from her home and forced to live in a Residential School across the lake from her family. Beautiful artwork and a foreword by Elder Betty Ross.
It is middle-grade but it does not shy away from accounts of child abuse, SA, and murder.
