When We Were Silent: A Novel by Fiona McPhillips
4.0
This was a tough book to listen to, but well worth it. The abuse of young people by people in authority is deplorable and as we all know it still goes on way too frequently. Louise was a wonderful character and I felt for her through the entire book. I listened to the audio version thru Libro.fm and the Irish accent of the narrator made it even more special. If you can handle the subject matter this is really a beautifully told story.
