Some genuinely funny moments that caught me off guard more than once and had me laughing to myself, but that doesn't make up for the low level misogynistic parts; I can't wait for the day I pick up a YA romance and don't have to deal with 'not like other girls' being suggested at any point.

The portrayal of the relationship between Hannah and Stella could have been handled better I feel, yes friendships are complex and sometimes people are bitchy for no good reason, but Stella's character didn't feel fully fleshed out which is a shame considering how much of the story involves her.

In conclusion, yes it's hilarious at times, yes boys probably do talk about girls the way this book claims, but that doesn't mean I enjoy having to read it.
