Christmas Crumble by M.C. Beaton

4.0

First, a note that I am not very familiar with Agatha Raisin. I have to say that I wasn't expecting what I got. I honestly don't know why, because I've read her entire Macbeth series. For some reason - I guess because this series has a female protagonist - I was expecting it to be a bit more... prudish?

Boy, was I wrong. Agatha Raisin is such an entertaining character and Beaton's ability to portray that in less than 100 pages is a great look for this series. You have my interest.

In the words of the great Dame Agatha Christie, "don't eat none of the plum pudding". In this case, because it's undercooked. And has insecticide in it. Also an overdose of Viagra is not a good appetizer.

Who says you can't learn anything from fiction?
