A beautiful exploration of love and sexuality through all types of relationships. Walker's use of the Mundo culture and beliefs sends a strong message about the profound harm Western patriarchy causes women in the fracturing of bonds between parents and daughters and the stifling of sexual joy. Walker fills her pages with such deeply human and flawed moments and thoughts that have a way of making one feel seen.
