Retribution Rails by Erin Bowman
4.0
I enjoyed this book immensely! I think it was a rare second installment in a series that improves upon its predecessor. The characters were compelling, and the world Bowman wrought in these pages was spectacular, and like stepping into history. The little details really sold the time period, and made me anxious for what would happen to these characters. I found Charlotte to be quite obnoxious for most of this story, but I think that was the point. She had the most growing to do in terms of her motivations and values. It was great to see some familiar faces from the first book as well. Would definitely recommend this to fans of westerns and YA!
