I really enjoyed this, a lot more than I thought I would. I've read it before, when I was about 13, and didn't really get into it, and didn't enjoy the film when I saw it last year. But this time round, I found it was pretty much a perfect supernatural novel - the build up was nicely paced, the supernatural didn't feel particularly forced, and the climax was all good. Overall... very good.

The only thing that seemed a little odd was the ending - I'm not entirely sure that

the demon would have essentially just given up like that?

But it did all tie up nicely, so I am not too perturbed.
