The f*ck did I just read? 😂 This one started out so promisingly. I was ready to give it five stars. The middle section was less exciting. It was mostly a bad romance (from only a male perspective). Dropped to 4 stars. No bigs. Then the orgy happened. Hey, I’m no prude, but what was the point? The whole story became disjointed after that. I liked the open-ended final section, but I cannot forgive the lack of cohesiveness before it. The vibe shifted from serious to romantic to scary to sappy throughout. Not a well planned out novel. But it had its moments. Other reviewers have struggled to find a theme, and the best I can come up with is Nice Guys(TM) vs. handsome brutes. Just terrible dudes fighting over helpless ladies who have no character development. Disappointing after Sisters Brothers.
