Forget Me Not by Julie Soto

5.0

This book is the epitome of everything that I love about a second-chance romance. The angst was real and for some reason in a second chance setting that angst just WORKs for me and it worked well with Ama and Elliot because wow. The second I read their first interaction and heard the meaning behind the flowers he gave her in the boutineere I was losing it, like a wedding planner x flower shop owner hate-to-love setup is genius!!!! and it worked so well here. This is the first book from Julie Soto that I have read and will not be the last as I very much enjoyed the writing. THe love that both of them had for each other, even with mentally what Ama had to work through with their time apart, was so powerful you could feel it in the flashbacks. I did not love the dual timeline as much in this book as I did in others but only because I wished they interacted more or had more little moments in the present timeline, it just felt like everything in the present timeline happened all at once and I just wished there was a little more build-up outside of knowing that Ama was pining for him. Personally for me I still enjoyed how their love story played out so while the timelines were not my favorite it did not take away from the overall love story for me. I also am always going to eat up a wedding planner main character story so this was just so fun in that aspect for me. Also the little plotline of Ama being obsessed with knowing Elliot's tattoos? I ate that up! I listened to the audiobook and the Callie Dalton x Teddy Hamilton voice actor duo is always going to HIT for me so that only amplified how much I enjoyed this book.

I enjoy this super niche trope that I have only found in one other book and seeing it at the end of this book was everything to me and made the ending that much better.

I am also obsessed with this cover I want it in poster form on my wall honestly.
