The Mad Scientist's Daughter by Cassandra Rose Clarke
5.0
I loved this book so much. I wish I could eloquently explain why but it seems an impossible task.
I could tell you that I found the prose, the pacing and the characters (although Cat was infuriating sometimes, she still found a way into my heart) all so captivating but that just skims the surface of an intensely emotive story (well, it was for me anyway). It's one of very few books that I've finished and just stared at the wall with tears streaming down my face. In the days afterwards, I'm still struggling to leave Cat and Finn behind.
