Phenomenally honest book about a life filled with secret trials. All the pain, suffering, and trauma that happened behind closed doors, deep within a soul, unshared, is heart wrenching. This collection of stories was incredibly insightful. I have a deeper understanding of a religion that has always baffled me. Moist importantly, having gone through some similar/parallel experiences I both saw myself in Ms. Gay's journey to self acceptance and finding her strength. Upon finishing all I can say is brava! Here is to a better future than the past, filled with love, happiness, and support. Well done Heather Gay. Well done.
