The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace
2.0
I was kinda disappointed when I just pre-ordered this book and I read the review on goodreads, turned out some people aren't into this book. Emily May's review said that hitting enter after every word does not make it poetry. And well, I do feel the author put so many spaces and sometimes I feel it is not THAT necessary. And this book actually takes so many spaces for such short poems, I guess the size could be smaller.
But in the end, I do enjoy this book. I even have some of my favorites. This book is a reflection of the author's personal experience and as a person who also writes poem, I appreciate it. It is not easy to open up about your scars, your past, to the world by pouring it into words. Overall, I enjoyed it but not a big fan.
