Lately I've been reading books that are really hard for me to review. Why is that? Because on the one hand, I like the story, the premise, the plot or whatever you want to call it. I like MCs. And on the other hand, it is difficult for me to follow the development a bit.

Before reviewing this book, I reviewed the next one, Fierce, and now I realize that the feeling it gave me is the same. It was like being inside a maze, because it has several twists and turns, until you find the exit. And all that effort leaves you exhausted.

Now, I'm not saying that I didn't like it, on the contrary, it was different. The stories that deal with the mafia are not the ones I usually choose, however, this one appealed to me. It's just that it's a bit hard to follow the plot, and the problem with that is that it takes a bit of power out of the story between Connor and Austin. It kind of gets a bit lost in the maze. And the truth is, I would have liked to read a lot more about the two of them, because even though we know that they had both been attracted to each other years ago, they had not seen each other for years, to this we add that they are like night and day, that they belong to different mafia families, and that they must find a mysterious assassin, it is difficult for the relationship between them to develop.

This story has a bit of everything. Suspense, mystery, heartbreak, some drama, hot moments, romance. So give this maze a try, you won't be disappointed!

I was given an advanced copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
