Scarred by Emily McIntire
2.0
a meh read, it was to easy to put down and read a better book. As it states it is NOT a retelling of a fairy tale but instead a dark twisted plot where all the players have switched sides it seems
This is very loosely based on the Lion King, since we have the last name and a scarred character. After that it goes off on it own story telling, with a lot of lackluster plots, to many side stories, insta lust, and everything works out in the end.
With the first novel I could relate the new characters to old characters in the fairytale, it had a solid plot line and yes we had the insta attraction to each other, but it was slow build and actually help cement the plot in a positive way.
Hope book 3 is more like that
