Lost Boy by Charli Meadows

4.0

Such a sweet and lovable story. I mean, this one is not without a bit of anguish, but above all, aim to not lose hope, that when you least expect it, someone will lend a hand and help you clear away the darkness and coldness that sometimes surround us.

That's Ryder to Fallon. That ray of light. Since hsi father's death, Fallon has suffered from his mother's neglect and the verbal abuse and belittling of her numerous "boyfriends", which caused him to feel worthless and to numb himself of all feelings. But when he was almost 18 years old, his uncle took care of him and took him to live with him, and his life changed drastically. Not only did he now have a family that supported and encouraged him, but he also met an incredible boy who was willing to do anything to show him how much he was worth. For Ryder, someone who didn't have it easy either, but unlike Fallon, had a good support system in his father and his friends, meeting Fallon and immediately falling for him was instant. From the very beginning, he was drawn to that sad, serious boy that didn't know how to smile and how to feel, and Ryder made it his mission to change that. And as their relationship progressed, Fallon blossomed too, becoming more secure, more confident, able to be more true to himself and show his feelings for Ryder, which in turn made Ryder even more attracted to him. And the day Ryder finally managed to make him laugh... Well, that was indescribable to him.

As I said, a sweet and lovable story, with endearing characters that leave you with a smile that lasts days after finishing the book.
