I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but I devoured it in 2 sittings. It’s relatively short, and the pace is fast.
Mara is a struggling artist, and when she is kidnapped and left for dead she stumbles into the path of Cole, a fellow artist (minus the struggling part). Cole doesn’t want to like Mara - but the more he stalks her, the more intrigued he is by her survival instinct and smart mouth, her utter refusal to submit to him.
Throw a serial killer into the mix and you have an enthralling dark romance. Can Cole protect Mara from the killer? Or is he himself her attacker?
There’s kind of a HEA - with lots of potential to explore in book 2; I’ll definitely read on with this duo.
