I found this by accident, from reading about the Bechdel test, and decided to check it out. I am so glad I did. These comics were at the same time hilarious and heartbreaking. The lives of Mo, Lois, Clarice, Toni, Sydney, Thea, Jezzana, Sparrow, Stuart, Raffi, Cynthia, and so many others had me hooked. It was great to see the characters develop and age in real time, with current events constantly affecting their lives, as well as more personal issues like cancer, pregnancy, affairs, death, and raising children. These comics have connected with me in ways not many other books have. Please check them out immediately and get to know these wonderful characters.

(As a side note, it is quite interesting to compare the earlier comics with the more recent ones. Bechdel’s art style changed, and characters like Lois look completely different!)
