My second Ito, my boyfriend recommended that this should my next read after Shiver. It’s very similar to Shiver in its size, appearance, stories and even characters (The Fashion Model monster is back). I think I was a little disappointed after Shiver but I still really enjoyed Smashed. I think the most interesting stories were Ghosts of Prime Time, Earthbound, Death Row Doorbell, I Don’t Want to be a Ghost and Library Vision. The Mystery of the Haunted House was good, was cool to see The Fashion Model monster again, but I found the two related stories after it a bit more repetitive and less intriguing. Didn’t really like Soichi’s Beloved Pet since most of the story is the cat being abused. Smashed was cool but I was expecting something a bit more gross, more like, Greased in Shiver. I think my favourite was Earthbound, it’s the most fucked up and was a little bit similar to Shiver’s Hanging Limp which I quite liked.
